There are thousands of website designers now. Yes pretty much all of them can make a website and pretty much my neighbors 10 year old now can too. But do you want just a website or do you want something that represents your company image?
Website design companies have become like a hardware store in the last few years. You go in choose a design company that you want to work with, pick a package whether it’s a 10 page website, 15 page website, with or without a shopping cart, some contact forms, and a few cool tracking scripts and your own your way with one bill a week or two.
The problem occurs about two months later when you want updates, or your website is out of date. A large portion of my clients ask me to not necessarily design a website, but to redesign the old one that they spent thousands of dollars on.
I don’t believe in website design packages because each website is unique just like each company I’ve worked with. When you purchase a website you can’t buy it like a pack of pencils: the same at any store you go to.
